Did you check my solution about configuration.php file with $live_site variable ?
Did you install the template only ? Amara template is built with Quix page builder, if you check our quickstart package you will see the Quix page builder already included, the Home page amara is built with quix page builder 🙂
About Navbar: You can assign 04 module positions to navbar, Did you check our quickstart package before?

There’re SIX positions per row/section :), just create 06 module then assign it to top a position and DONE. The warp7 framework will assign the module position automatically 🙂

The sp portfolio itself does not support shortcode so that means you cant implement the shortcode for other gallery inside portfolio item https://www.joomshaper.com/forums/i-cant-insert-phoca-map-in-sp-portfolio-description
For this case I recommend you use easy image gallery https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-extensions/sp-easyimagegallery , by using this component, you can create multiple albums then show up via front-end, demo http://demo.joomshaper.com/extensions/others/column2/sp-easy-image-gallery

It seems you added the LIVE SITE URL whilte restoring quickstart package.
Please open configuration.php, line 17 find and make sure the live site url variable look like this
public $live_site = '';
empty without domain name

Quix requires php 5.6 (at least) and for future joomla update I recommend you use php version 7.0.x
About blank page: After installing the quickstart package, Did you clear quix caches ? We already mentioned this step via documentation 🙂
