I’ve been using using Joomla 3 with EDU Template for a long while now, but I encountered a problem recently when I created a user as an author.
When I login as an author, the module to write articles isn’t there (visible) ! Should create a module from scratch ? Or is there a way to activate it?

Did you try to switch the theme to default joomla template to check ? Is it work ?
